PAUL RAYMOND HRANKOWSKI March 17, 1946 - November 16, 2006 Suddenly, on Thursday, November 16, 2006, Paul passed away at his home at the age of 60. He will be missed dearly by his brother Myron, for whom he has been the caregiver for many years. He also leaves behind his two sons, Ryan and Andrew. He was predeceased by his parents, Myron and Elizabeth Hrankowski. He was born and raised in Winnipeg. In his later years, he became the sole caregiver for his brother Myron, looking after all of his needs. He also became very involved in the life of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was always ready to help, volunteering much time doing the many small things that needed to be done. He served on the parish council. Paul would read the epistle every morning at the Divine Liturgy. He looked forward each month to assist in the making of perogies in the parish hall. His love was volunteering at the Bishop Velychkovsky Martyr's Shrine. His brother Myron and he spent many hours every week welcoming pilgrims and giving tours of the Shrine. His faith in God gave him strength to be the caregiver he was. He will be missed greatly by the parishioners and his friends, especially Steve, Boris, and Myron. The Parastas Service will be held on Monday, November 20, 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church. The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 21, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Family cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bishop Velychkovsky Martyr's Shrine, 250 Jefferson Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2V 0M6. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Ryan & Andrew: We are very sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was a wonderful, gentle man who had a very special place in our hearts for his kindness, fun spirit & sense of humor. We truly regret that we lost contact with him though we thought of him often. One memory in particular from a visit years ago was when he ordered a bacon & pineapple pizza. UGH but it tasted pretty good. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you say goodbye . He will be missed. • Dear Ryan and Andrew. We wish to express our deepest sympathy in the passing of your father. He was a wonderful man whom we are sorry we have not been in contact with for many years. The last time your father was in Kitchener to visit with our family was a memorable time and we all treasure that memory. On behalf of the entire Yoworski family, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. - Myron and Donna Yoworski - grandson of Mary (Hrankowski) and Frank Jaworski - Posted by: Myron Yoworski (Family) on: Nov 18, 2006
